We are dedicated to serve Laurel County in efforts to prevent, promote and protect the public health of its citizens by providing quality health education, health promotion, and environmental services. Even though you may never walk through the doors of the Laurel County Health Department, we serve each and every citizen of Laurel County by implementing the policies, plans, and laws that impact health.

In addition to clinical programs and services, the health department is the agency that invites citizens, community leaders, and health partners to collaborate on initiatives to improve the health of Laurel County. We work together to engage in the process of assessing the health of our community, identify health problems, and to create a Laurel County Health Improvement Plan.
